This website has been developed by Peter
Horsfield as part of his ongoing work and research in the area of media and
religion. Peter Horsfield
is
Associate Professor in Communication and Program Director of the Bachelor of
Communication at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. He completed his
PhD at Boston University in systematic theology and mass communication and has researched, written
and taught in the area of media and religion for more than twenty years.
His published work includes Religious television: The
American experience
(Sage, 1984), Taming the television: A parents' guide to children and
television (Albatross, 1986) and a CDRom The
mediated spirit
(2002). He is editor (with Mary Hess and Adan Medrano) of
Belief in
media: Cultural perspectives on media and Christianity (Ashgate, 2004). He
was a member of the International Study
Commission on Media Religion and Culture and Chair of the Committee for
Porticus Fellowships in Media,
Religion and Culture. |
